Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at bugsbarnyardbuns@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

You must be 18 years old or accompanied by your legal guardian over the age of 18.

We require 50% down non-refundable deposit to hold a specific bunny. Our rabbits are on a first come first serve basis. You can reserve a bunny by contacting us and filling out the form. Then we can go through with placing a deposit. We only except PayPal and Cash App for all deposits.

Once we receive the 50% non-refundable deposit, we require you to schedule to pick up within 2 weeks. An additional fee of $10 a week will be added to hold the rabbit for longer.

A pedigree is a record of ancestry. 3-generation pedigree identifies the rabbit, its parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents. Not only that but the pedigree lists the names, colors, awards that a rabbit received at a show (if any), weight, what rabbitry the rabbit came from, and their ear number.  Having pedigree records is important for breeding and showing.

Pedigrees are important when it comes to breeding and showing rabbits. A full pedigree is required if you want to register your rabbit through the (ARBA). You are not required to purchase the pedigree unless you intend to breed/show the rabbit.  You may also need the pedigree if you plan to participate in 4-H and FFA.  You should consult your leadership to determine your need.  Rabbits sold as pet only and not breeding quality will not be sold with pedigree!

Here at bugs barnyard buns, we breed mainly Holland lops but we recently added a new breed to the Rabbitry. We will slowly be working with English Lops along the side of our Hollands.

Although Bugs Barnyard Buns is a closed rabbitry, no access to the public. We do occasionally provide local meet and greets for rabbits 8+ weeks old. This allows you to meet the bunnies available and choose which bunny is best for your family! Video calls are also acceptable through Facebook to see our available bunnies.

  • A closed/private Rabbitry is a rabbitry not opened to the public. Rabbitries are not stores to browse; the majority of rabbitries are off limits to the public.
  • Our rabbitry is closed to the public for the health and well-being of our rabbits. This allows us to keep illness from entering into our rabbitry. The health of our rabbits is our main priority every new rabbit brought into our herd must go through a 30-day quarantine to ensure health. Not only for the rabbit's safety this ensures my family and I's safety on our property.
